Soroptimists scramble for service
Soroptimist International of Port Townsend & East Jefferson County's
Ninth Annual "Scramble for Service" raised just over $10,000
for local charities. The Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Program of
Jefferson County has already been awarded $5,000. The balance will be
given where needed, throughout the rest of the year.
The golf tournament drew 76 enthusiastic golfers to the Port Ludlow Golf
Course. Some came from as far as Portland and Seattle to enjoy the scenic
Tide and Trail courses, as well as the putting and water challenges.
(The putting contest was won by Mike Saelee; the water contest by David
Nelson.)
